Active Minds is determined to create a comfortable environment where students feel safe when accessing mental health services and effective treatment strategies in order to thrive in relationships, at school and in the community.

With the help of our donors, partners, and dedicated volunteers we have more than 400 Active Minds Chapters on university and college campuses nationwide, educating student peers on mental health. Yet millions of young adults are still waiting.

Together, we can elevate the quality of education for students struggling with a mental health illness. Together, we can save students’ lives. Below are a few of the many ways you can support our work.

  • Barry Schreier, Director of University of Connecticut Counseling and Mental Health Services says:

barry_schreier_-_uconn"My strong message to counseling center directors is to either start a chapter or contact your current chapter and form a close alliance between Active Minds and the campus counseling center. This alignment allows for close collaboration not only on the variety of campus mental health issues, but on the framing and messaging of these issues."
