aaron_thompson"Becoming an advocate for mental health has been one of the most rewarding and challenge achievements in my life.  I decided the best way to make my voice heard was to run for vice president of the Oregon State University chapter of Active Minds.  It has not been easy fighting to reduce the stigma involved with mental health.  I am a member of the Army ROTC on campus and I can tell you first hand that many men simply think that talking about your problems is a joke.  I am a man and I feel no shame in talking to people about my feelings and emotions.  I want to live in a society that considers me normal."
