Active Minds’ programs and resources focus on mental health awareness and suicide prevention for teens and young adults. In one year, we reached 529,054 students through campus awareness campaigns and events, and positively impacted campus environments through 450+ chapters located at high schools and colleges nationwide.

Active Minds is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, with primary offices in Washington, DC. All donations to Active Minds are tax deductible.

Transparency

  • Program spending of $1.6 million brought our Send Silence Packing exhibit to 29 colleges and high schools, sponsored 129 speaking engagements in 28 states, and supported 479 chapters in training more than 17,000 volunteer members.
  • For the fifth year in a row, Active Minds has been recognized as a GreatNonProfits Top-Rated Nonprofit.
  • Our commitment to transparency is recognized through our GuideStar Exchange Platinum participation, the highest an organization can receive.

 

 

We need to feel comfortable having more of these open conversations so more people can find other people like them. That’s why a lot of people see suicide as an option, because they think they’re alone. No matter how many people you’re around, if you don’t have people you can talk to, then you’re still going to feel alone.
