Dixie and Charli D’Amelio are perhaps two of the biggest names in American pop culture today. The sisters have amassed a following in the hundreds of millions on social media, starred in their own television series, and shared their lives with people around the world, all before turning twenty-one. Most know the D’Amelios for their dancing videos, ability to set a trend, and celebrity squad of friends.
But the world has recently begun to see a new side of them. Dixie and Charli D’Amelio have been making headlines for discussing mental health, openly sharing their personal experiences with therapy and anxiety. Now, they’re preparing to launch their next big project and Active Minds is excited to be a part of it!
Premiering this Saturday, Nov. 13, “Charli vs. Dixie” is an upcoming Snap Original competition series in which the sisters will go head-to-head in epic challenges to win $50,000 for charity. We’re thrilled to share that Dixie will be playing for Active Minds!

In the past few years, we’ve seen an important trend in celebrities sharing more private details of their lives, particularly in regards to mental health. From sports stars like Naomi Osaka and Simone Biles, to former-royals Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, and celebrities like Justin Bieber and Demi Lovato, many of the most popular figures of our day are speaking up, breaking down the stigma, and working to support mental health advocacy through their platforms. At Active Minds, we know that young adults are consistently leaders in changing the conversation around mental health. “Charli vs. Dixie” is no exception – these young women are showing up for causes they care about, including mental health, and we can’t wait to see how the series unfolds.
We look forward to seeing the conversations that will be sparked through Charli and Dixie’s passion for mental health. The series will begin airing on Snapchat this Saturday, Nov. 13. To subscribe to the show, click here. Don’t miss out – and tune in with us to cheer on #TeamDixie!
