Mental Health Advocacy Academy FAQs

Active Minds will offer funds to up to 30 mental health advocates to participate in the Academy in 2022. To be eligible, students should attend high school and identify as BIPOC and/or LGBTQ+. Stipends will be shared upon completion of the academy.
Academy members will have an opportunity to network with facilitators and Active Minds staff during and between Academy sessions. Academy members will also have access to a Slack channel where they can ask questions or share ideas.

The Mental Health Advocacy Academy will run for one semester in 2022. Academy participants will be required to attend all meetings with an opportunity to share their campaign outline at our Academy Showcase.
