How will Academy members receive their stipends?

Active Minds will offer $500 to up to 30 mental health advocates to participate in the Academy in Fall 2022. To be eligible, students should attend high school and identify as BIPOC and/or LGBTQ+. Stipends will be shared upon completion of the Academy.

What kinds of support will Academy members receive?

Academy members will have an opportunity to network with facilitators and Active Minds staff during and between Academy sessions. Academy members will also have access to a Slack channel where they can ask questions or share ideas.

What is the timeframe for the Mental Health Advocacy Academy?

The Mental Health Advocacy Academy will run from September 21 – November 16, 2022. Meetings will be held via Zoom every wednesday for 2 hours between 6pm – 8pm EST.  It is expected that you attend all the meetings.
