Position Title: Program Associate, Send Silence PackingⓇ
Status: Full Time
Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid; 2 Days In Office, 3 Days Remote)

 

JOB SUMMARY AND KEY PRIORITIES 

Active Minds is seeking a highly organized individual with experience in event planning and an eye for detail. Active Minds’ Send Silence Packingprogram inspires action for suicide prevention through education and advocacy. The Associate, along with a team, will support two program managers to oversee the booking and execution of numerous tour stops throughout the year. The Community Programs Team ensures a professional and superior client experience with the Send Silence Packing program from contract signing through post-event follow-up. This position reports to Active Minds’ Events Manager and Send Silence Packing Outreach Manager.

KEY RESULTS 

  • Host and Client Management: Ensure effective communication and detailed logistics management with contracted hosts. Confirm all day-of event support and communications. Manage pre- and post-event technical assistance such as client calls, site visits, pre-event materials, training, post-event follow up, and close out procedures
  • Tour Management: Produce, secure, and ensure the highest-level of aesthetic quality of all needed equipment, resources, and educational materials for on-site displays and digital marketing. Maintain a strong connection with Send Silence PackingTour Staffers and ensure program integrity and team morale.
  • Programmatic Evaluation and Improvement: In partnership with Active Minds’ Research and Evaluation Team and the Community Programs Team, ensure various programs’ effectiveness, host/chapter satisfaction, and overall programmatic success.
  • Administration: Maintain and track organized records of event details, communication, and status in the organization-wide CRM system, Salesforce, and participate in cross-department committees and initiatives.
  • Additional Functions: Help ensure the successful execution of grant deliverables and other special projects related to Send Silence Packing. Support other programs and teams and represent Active Minds at conferences, meetings, trainings, and other events as needed. 

 

Qualifications

  • At least one year of experience in hospitality, event management, sales and marketing, customer service, or related professional areas
  • Prior experience working with virtual event platforms, including but not limited to Zoom, Google, and Microsoft Teams
  • Prior experience with CRM platform (preferably Salesforce)
  • Advanced knowledge of Google Workspace
  • Well-organized and detail-oriented, with excellent multi-tasking abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as individually
  • Belief that equity and social justice are important and driven to hear, reflect, and act on this belief
  • Advocate for social entrepreneurship and a believer in young people making an impact

 

COMPENSATION 

This position offers a salary range of $50,000-$55,000 along with robust benefits. The starting pay for this position is equal to others at the same level throughout the organization. Candidates whose experience meets both the minimum and preferred qualifications may be considered for a starting salary that exceeds the current amount. The role sits within Active Minds Level 1 salary band, and as such, has the potential to grow to $65,000 over time. FLSA Status: Exempt.
